our good friends at sanitary records have just released this awesome tape compilation called "i'm doing ok today," and it has songs by a few oh! map artists and lots of our very good friends! you should go check it out, i think we might have some for sale here soon, too. also, real live tigers is very soon releasing "yearling," a collection of older material from a few years ago (this should be out by the end of the month) and shelby sifers' is releasing her new cd "run around, run around" on may 8th at a cd release show in arcata, ca. more to come! xo!

after a long hiatus due to technical difficulties, the website has returned. we will be adding more & more things in the next few weeks because a lot has happened. there are some new releases and new artists, and lots of things on their way. this new website design was done by alex fischer, and we thank him because it looks gorgeous, or at least i think so. there is some mailorder i need to send out, still, and i apologize for lateness. school will be over in two weeks and my energy can be a lot more focused on doing this thing. browse around the website because a lot has changed and will continue to do so, and i'll keep you posted.

so basically it's like this: i have been in constant movement and adjustment for a few months now. i have been lazy with websites and mail order and everything else that i am supposed to be good at. if you ordered something, and haven't recieved it yet, i thoroughly apologize. i am going through all of the orders now and will hopefully send them out by the end of the week. if not, please feel free to yell at me. also, the new dustin and the furniture album is done and pressed and amazing. waiting for a box of those in the mail. will be on the website shortly, as well as the other few releases that have come out since i stopped updating this thing... it's true. it's true. i will do these things. this is going to be so good. there is so much happening right now that i can't even seem to be able to keep track of it. everyone i love is working on wonderful things. i apologize for being sentimental. actually, no, i don't. i have half of shelby's new record on my computer and it might be the best songs i've ever heard in my whole life? a drum and an open window have this new ep that's almost done? the sarcastic dharma society basically wrote the best song he's ever written? i have this album that i've been working on since april and it's almost done? children eating birds made a new record? it's done? just gotta do artwork? they're going to start playing shows together, as a band? port o'brien's back from alaska?! real live tigers started an awesome label called 'news from home' with our dear friends in milkaukee partisan? so much is happening. everything will make sense soon. i'm trying to get everything organized. and i will. i will i will i will.

- 'cover your tracks' by real live tigers is out of print already, and no copies will be available through the website, unfortunately. however, you should contact tony at tony.presley@gmail.com for his new album, 'there is a storm that sleeps inside of us,' which he released on another record label with friends in milkwaukee called dovecôte. he will be touring as a member of tiger saw for the next month and then many mini-solo tours will follow. check his website for details.
- a drum and an open window released their album 'you can't pick the fruit if you don't know where the roots are going' on oh! map recently. i have a bunch of copies sitting here and i will update the website with ordering information when i stop being lazy (ie. hopefully in a week when i am done moving to toronto).
- 'dancing on nothing' by dustin and the furniture will be out by the end of september. this is our second pressed release.
- '(after) bed,' a cd by stop coming to my house prom queen and also a book of prose and poems by jordaan mason, is also available. only thirty copies will be made. they are completely done by hand.
- 'run around, run around' is the title of shelby sifers' new album, which she is currently recording.
- 'mantra songs' by jordaan mason is in the final stages of recording and should be available sometime in the fall. there will no longer be a full tour, but there will many small ones in the northeast.
- children eating birds are recording a new album or ep which will be available sometime in the fall. this will be followed also by their first live performances and possibly some small tours.
- i am very bad at updating this website, but there is a lot that i need to do to it. expect a lot of changes in the next month or so.

ok, so. here is what i know:
- 'cover your tracks' by real live tigers is done. it is a compilation of live material from the past year. he has been selling them on tour for a while. it is limited to fifty copies. i am waiting for some to arrive here and then it will be available on the website.
- 'this is me as a musician' by the sarcastic dharma society is a compilation of songs from the past three or four years of recording. a version of it was sold on the tour he did on the westcoast and in the midwest. a full version of it, which will be three 3" cd-rs in some kind of wonderful packaging (that's the plan currently), will be released soon and available here for order, but you can contact him (sarcasticdharma@gmail.com) if you want one of the early versions. also, if you ordered 'summeresque' in the past few months, he has been working but was also busy with some touring and things, and will have them done as soon as possible.
- 'dancing on nothing' by dustin and the furniture is almost done. he has two songs left to record. right now he is on tour with a drum and an open window, a very wonderful band and good friends of oh! map. this album will be pressed and sealed in a digipak case, and apparently should be done by august.
- 'mantra songs' by jordaan mason is being recorded right now and should be done by the end of the summer. it will also be pressed and followed by another two-month tour for it's release.
- shelby sifers is also working on her new record. there is no tentative finish date, and i do not currently remember the title off the top of my head, but i have heard most of the songs live and i am unbelievably excited.
- port o'brien is currently out at sea in alaska for the summer, and is working on an ep to be released sometime after he returns. he is recording it on a four-track on the boat.
- the lonesome architects recently returned from a tour of the west coast, and both members are moving to the east coast (new york state) at the end of the summer to their respective colleges.
- jordaan mason/stop coming to my house prom queen are working on a book of writings called 'bed' which will be accompanied by an album called 'after bed.'
- the sarcastic dharma society and jordaan mason are doing a split? yes, this might just be true. who knows when this will be done.
- sanitary records is doing a "cassingle series" of cassette tapes that are two and a half minutes on each side. real live tigers recently did a split with boo hiss (a wonderful band from kansas) and apparently the dear folks at sanitary are going to send some copies my way to be sold here. they are two dollars, and should be available soon.

i'm home from a two month tour of the united states. it was a very wonderful time and i met many wonderful people. the website will be updated a lot more fully in the weeks to come, including some new releases, etc. if you have ordered anything from the website recently, i will try to have everything shipped out by the end of the week. as for now, i am going to sleep in my bed tonight.
